We went to see "O" today. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's one of Cirque de Soleil's shows. How was it? It was beautiful - absolutely gorgeous beyond description. And one of the weirdest things that I have ever seen.

It's a hard concept to grasp, but O utilized the human body as art without becoming sexual or otherwise inappropriate. O itself is centered around water, actually, and the stage itself can rise and submerge when necessary. Really, it's so hard to explain - the experience was overhwelming. So much was constantly happening at once. You could be watching fire-colored contortionists on stage while trapeze artists cavort above, and then suddenly a man in a bathtub floats by with his hat on fire. The sheer beauty of the show has left me speechless, and if you are EVER in Las Vegas, the show is worth MORE than the price of admission!
"...then suddenly a man in a bathtub floats by with his hat on fire. The sheer beauty..."

Anyone else wonder about John's sanity here? lol
I'll be seeing it in July. Now I really can't wait.
It also helped that we were sitting RIGHT UP FRONT. Do you already have your seats reserved? I'd recommend buying them in advance, going for the front row, and going for a later showing (7:30 and 10:30 PM are the two shows). Trust me, you want to be up front for this.
*snuggles* SOOOOO wonderful. @_@ Oh yes - you want to be up front.
